You didnt say how old you are. I think these books are better for younger people. They are:
The Saddle Club series by Bonnie Bryant
Heartland Series by Lauren Brooke
Phantom Horse series by C. Pullein-Thompson.
Throughbred series by Joanna Campbell.
Back to the Ranch series by Ruth Jean Dale.

The Thief Lord is written by Cornelia Funke. She has written series about a bookmaker and his daughter based between times. It has a very clever story and plot. I think if you like the Thief Lord you’ll love this series; Inkspell and Inkheart.
