Looking for a couple of books. If any one can help I would appreciate it.?

The first book was from the early 90’s and was sort of a cyberpunk type novel, maybe put out by HarperCollins/HarperPrism, the only thing I can remember is it was about this guy who spent most of his time hooked up to his computer in a virtual reality enviroment. That was how he socialized.I think there might have been a character named Cowboy. The other book is from the late 70’s or early 80’s and I want to say the name of the series was Chill or maybe Chiller, it sems like the title was also the name of the main character. There was one book I think number 6 took place around a philipine "monster"? Looking for a ong time for this books hope someone can help.

I agree with Mingus Brasslane, the first book definitely sounds like Neuromancer by William Gibson.

The second book sounds like the Chill series by Jory Sherman.
1 – Satan’s Seed
2 – The Sepulchre
3 – The Bamboo Demons
4 – Vegas Vampire
5 – The Phoenix Man
6 – House of Scorpions
7 – Shadows

Was the first one possibly Neuropath by William Gibson? I haven’t read it, but I know Gibson is considered the big cyberpunk
